Citations & Google Business Profile
Manage your client's online presence across business directories, compose GBP posts with AI-generated images, and monitor reviews — all from one unified interface.
Citation Management
Citations are mentions of your client's business name, address, and phone number (NAP) across online directories. Consistent citations are a critical local SEO ranking factor.
PixlSEO tracks citations across major directories:
• Google Business Profile • Yelp, Yellow Pages, BBB • Facebook, Apple Maps, Bing Places • Industry-specific directories
For each listing, you can see: • Business name, address, and phone as listed • Status (Active, Needs Update, Not Found) • Last synced date • Direct link to the listing
GBP Posts
What GBP posts are:
Google Business Profile (GBP) posts are short updates that appear on your client's Google Business Profile in Search and Maps. They typically stay visible for about 7 days (Events and Offers stay until their end date) and are a strong signal to Google that the listing is active. GBP posts are NOT blog posts. They can be created manually inside PixlSEO or auto-generated from existing blog content so the same message reaches both audiences.
Why they matter:
• Activity signal | listings that post regularly tend to surface more often in local results • Engagement | posts can include a CTA button (Book, Call, Learn More, Order, Sign Up) that drives direct action • Promotions | Offers and Events drive seasonal traffic without paid ads • SEO support | regular posting reinforces local keywords and entities tied to the business
What you can do in the composer:
• Post types | Updates, Events, Offers, Products • AI content | generate post copy with the AI assistant, tuned to the client's tone and locale • AI images | generate a matching image, or upload your own • CTA buttons | attach a call-to-action with a destination URL • Scheduling | publish now or schedule for a future date • Drafts | save unfinished posts for review before publishing • Auto-fill from blog | pull a recent blog post and condense it into a GBP-ready update
Publishing model:
Posts are composed and stored in PixlSEO, then pushed to Google Business Profile through the connected GBP integration. If the integration is not yet connected for a client, posts remain as drafts until it is linked.
Review Monitoring
